Project has own wine

A billion-dollar resort in Vernon, B.C., has announced its own winemaker.

Tilman Hainle will ultimately oversee about 16 hectares of red and white grape vines at The Rise, which will bottle the wine under its own label. The Rise, which is being created by Okanagan Hills Development Corp., is to contain more than 1,200 residential units at build-out.
