Watermark, the four-storey, 153-suite beach resort on Osoyoos Lake, has assembled quite a lineup of partners.

The Vancouver-based development team is made up of four partner-owners and 12 specialized consultants, including Burrows Huggins Architects (which did the Four Seasons Whistler Resort), Boutique Hotels of B.C. (which has the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler and the Black Rock Ocean Resort in Ucluelet) and Co-ordinated Hotel Interiors, which runs Four Seasons' private residences.

Watermark promises to launch Osoyoos into Canada's elite calibre of year-round vacation destinations with the most luxurious development in the South Okanagan.

Construction on the former 4.5-acre fruit packinghouse site could begin as soon as October for completion in 2008.

Units start in the low $200,000s and can be used by the owners or put in a rental pool when the owner isn't there.

Watermark will also have a pool, shops, restaurant, fitness club and spa and a conference centre.
