Watermark Beach Resort Media Coverage Okanagan Saturday, July 22, 2006 Osoyoos resort gets OK Byline: Steve Macnaull A $68-million luxury condominium resort will rise on the lakefront site formerly occupied by a fruit packinghouse in Osoyoos. The four-storey 153-suite Watermark Beach Resort received municipal approval this week and will start marketing this summer for completion in a couple of years. Prices start in the low $200,000s and are marketed as whole-ownership strata homes that can be put in a rental pool when not in use. The packinghouse operated on the downtown Lake Osoyoos site from 1925-88 and was demolished in 2002. Besides the actual units, the Watermark will feature stores along a promenade, restaurant with patio, wine bar, health club and spa, beach, outdoor pool, a convention centre and shoreline park and pathway.
