The Daily Courier, June 18, 2008 Couples to tee off at The Rise today Fred Couples is on his own today. He is at the Fred Couples Signature Golf Course at The Rise for a tee off ceremony and club dedication. The course is the culmination of a 10-year partnership between golf course designer Gene Bates and Freddy "Boom Boom" Couples. According to The Rise, the course was designed to give golfers an adventure. "I would really like to see a skins game at The Rise," said Couples, who has just come off playing two days at the Telus World Skins Game. "That would truly be incredible."
