Location and Directions
 
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is located on Hwy. 93/95, Situated just 1 hour North of the Canada/USA border and only 20 minutes south of Invermere, B.C.
 
From Calgary follow the Trans Canada highway west towards Banff. Once past Canmore and Banff, head west at the turnoff onto the Banff-Windermere Hwy 93. Follow Hwy 93 to the town of Radium Hot Springs. At the junction where Hwy 95 meets 93, turn south/left. Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is 25 minutes south of Radium on the east side of Hwy 93/95.
 
From Cranbook go northeast on Hwy 3 and take the Hwy 93/95 ramp towards Fort Steele/Invermere and  turn north/right on Hwy 93/95 and follow to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.

•    In the heart of the Columbia Valley, Fairmont Hot Springs is a well-known four season resort destination at the headwaters of the Columbia River on the warm side of the Canadian Rockies in British   Columbia
•    World renowned for its natural beauty and the largest therapeutic mineral hot springs in Canada, the 2,600-acre resort features a 137-suite lodge with spa and conference center
•    There are two 18-hole golf courses, Riverside, Mountainside and an executive nine-hole course Creekside
•    A family ski resort and ski school is located on the resort footprint with close access to 6 other ski operations including heli skiing
•    Additional amenities include hiking trails, horseback riding, fishing and river rafting the Columbia River
•    Airport: Adjacent to Fairmont Hot Springs, is a 6,000 ft. airport facility welcomes private and charter aircraft. The facilities are capable of handling aircraft up to and including Boeing 737's.


Development Plans


•    Enhancement and expansion of the facility housing the natural hot springs pools and enhanced spa and wellness center
•    A new resort /retail village with luxury hotel condos and expanded dinning and shopping options
•    1,500 acres to be developed for a variety of housing options. The first 56 view home sites will be launched in summer of 2008.
•    Evaluation of the existing golf courses

Location: The Columbia Valley is located between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountain Range in British Columbia’s East Kootenays.  The Valley is home to the communities of Invermere, Windermere, Fairmont Hot Springs, Canal Flats, Wilmer, Radium Hot Springs, Edgewater, Brisco and Spillimacheen
 
Wetlands: The Columbia Valley Wetlands covers an area from Canal Flats to Donald and is the longest continuous wetland remaining on the continent. It covers 26,000 hectares (64,000 acres) and supports over 260 resident and migratory bird species. The Columbia flood plain is very flat and ranges from 1-2 km in width.
 
Activities and Amenities: Canada’s largest natural mineral hot springs
The area amenities include hiking, world-class golf, skiing, heli skiing, snow- mobiling, horseback riding, water sports, river rafting.
