Expanding wineries add flavour to locale
Every year, the grapes just get bigger and better, the vineyards are overflowing, the wineries are expanding, and the area is teaming with tourists and locals alike, tasting the delights of what has come to be known as Napa North.
The Okanagan has quickly become the favourite choice for select wines that win more and more awards each year. The area's famous wineries have added appealing open-air patios and terraces, restaurants, and artwork to make the visit even more pleasant.
Nothing beats a day touring the Benchlands of Naramata, or the nine wineries on the hills overlooking Summerland that will soon be known as Bottleneck Alley, tasting their treasures.
Some of the best wineries -- and most well-known -- are in the Kelowna area.
Think Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, Quails' Gate Estate Winery, and Summerhill Pyramid Winery, for example. But there are choices that are deemed to keep people busy tasting and tasting again for many years to come -- all the way from Vernon to Osoyoos and beyond.
The wine route is:

Boucherie Winery; Quails' Gate Estate Winery; Mission Hill Family Estate Winery; Raven Ridge Cidery; House of Rose Winery; Tantalus Vineyards; Summerhill Pyramid Winery; St. Hubertus Estate Winery; Cedar Creek Estate Winery; and Hainle Vineyards.
