Mountain Spirit Resort and Spa

Located in the serene Purcell Mountains alongside the picturesque Rockies,
Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa is a boutique resort offering ski-in-ski-out
condominiums at the Kimberley Alpine Resort, winner of the 2009 On the Snow
Visitors Choice Award for favourite resort in the Pacific Northwest. Mountain
Spirit is in the heart of the Kootenay region of British Columbia and will combine a
6,000 sq. ft. spa, great perks and an ideal location to create the ultimate resort experience.
Spa-inspired from inception, the resort boasts a true ski-in-ski-out location at
the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort. It will feature a slope-side restaurant and
patio along with a year round outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Mountain Spirit will be
the only resort spa in Kimberley.
While Mountain Spirit's location is literally steps from the chairlift in a world class
ski resort featuring 1,800 acres of ski-able terrain, the area also offers championship
golf with three courses in Kimberley and 20 more within an hour’s drive.
Recreational activities are plentiful, with 30 km of cross country ski trails and the
1800 acre Kimberley Nature Park offering mountain biking and hiking just minutes
from Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa. Kimberley, and the Kootenay region, is
becoming more popular as an international resort destination. There are now direct
flights from Salt Lake City, Calgary and Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies
International Airport, located 20 minutes from Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa.
Mountain Spirit takes the resort experience to a higher level for home owners with
its contemporary design, year round heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness studio
and unsurpassed service. Pool facilities are nearing completion for late 2009
providing guests at Mountain Spirit with more opportunity for recreation, relaxation and rejuvenation.

Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa began construction in 2008. It is being developed by
Chisa Resources Inc. with construction by New Dawn Developments Ltd., who is
known for quality construction and innovative building. For the last 30 years New
Dawn has been completing projects in Kimberley, Cranbrook, Fernie, and Invermere.
The architectural design was completed by BCMP Architects. Ingenium Design Group,
rated by the National Post as one of the Top Ten interior design firms in Canada, has
created a soothing and luxurious setting for owners and visitors alike to relax and
rejuvenate after taking advantage of the myriad of recreation activities available in the
Kootenays.
Environmental sustainability is an integral part of the development of Mountain Spirit
Resort & Spa. Travel between floors is achieved with low horse power KONE Eco
Elevators and it uses a geothermal system for the heating and cooling of the building
and the heated swimming pools. Large low energy windows are used throughout the
resort to both conserve heat and effectively utilize natural light. Energy Star rated
appliances are employed throughout the resort for maximum efficiency and low flow
kitchen and bathroom fixtures conserve water. Furniture has been carefully chosen
from easily renewable sources such as rubber wood, which takes eight to 10 years
to grow (much shorter than traditional hardwoods).

Fractional ownership prices range from $86,900 to $178,900 per quarter and whole
ownership ranges from $328,900 to $648,900. Penthouses range from $637,900 to $1M.
Location
Kimberley B.C. is located in the East Kootenays, 370 km from Calgary (4 hour drive,
50 minute flight), and 845 km (9 hour drive, 90 minute flight) from Vancouver and 300 km
(3.5 hour drive) from Spokane, Kimberley is 20 minutes from the Canadian Rockies
International Airport.
